“The tax return is prepared by an outside accounting firm. After completion of said returns, the organization is sent a draft of the tax returns to be reviewed and examined. The organization makes copies of the returns and distributes to those individuals charged with governance. Those individuals at that time can review and if applicable discuss any line items in the return with the accountant who has prepared the return. If all items are found to be acceptable, an affidavit is signed to authorize the outside accounting firm to process, sign and provide copies of the returns to be filed with the designated governmental agencies. Before the tax returns are filed, a final tax return copy is forwarded to all Board members. The Walking Distance Dance Festival featured seven performing companies from SF, NYC, Seattle and LA who appeared across ODCs campus and in the neighborhood bowling alley. The Music Moves Festival offered 24 performances in August featuring 100 artists from across the country. Co-presentations rounded out the 2014 season. Resident Artists Hope Mohr and Amy Seiwert; the Paul Dresher Ensemble; four international co-presentations with A Wider Bridge; the Israeli Consulate; Swissnex and the Swiss Consulate; and with corporate partner REVD to host Savion Glover. 16,898 attended performances on ODCs campus in 2014. ODC supports the entire creative life cycle through our Creative Campus Programming: creative process showings, professional performance experiences for youth, teens, and adults, and ODC mentorship and services that serve scores of local artists. 4,242 people alone attended the 33 performances offered as part of this initiative in 2014.In 2014 we launched an international partnership with the City of Zurich and hosted two Swiss artists-in-residence for six months each. Additional support for local artists is the highly sought-after Sandbox Series that provides dancers, space and subsidy to four established choreographers in need of time to explore creative ideas without the pressure of performance. |
