“Clefworks is a music outreach program designed to promote the education and enjoyment of chamber music through a series of performances in the montgomery area. During clefworks 2015 festival, there was one ticketed performance and three free school performances for students in montgomery, alabama. Clefworks provided an additional free concert to students in an after school program, two free voice coaching sessions - one for students of a montgomery high school and another for students of two local universities. To round out 2015 festival activities, a lecture/demonstration for students, faculty and guests was held at a local historically black university. The students served at these various events ranged in ages from kindergarten to college. Over 1,000 persons, including approximately 500 youth under 18, benefitted from the services delivered. Clefworks 2015 festival included 8 educational components, involving more than 45 teachers, 10 artists and 40 volunteers. The festival featured 6 paid guest musicians, a visiting guest composer and 1 part-time, paid employee.”
