“Clefworks is a music outreach program designed to promote the education and enjoyment of chamber music through a series of performances in the montgomery area. During clefworks 2014 festival, there were two ticketed performances and two free school performances to students in montgomery, alabama. Clefworks provided an additional free concert to students in an after school program, two string coaching sessions at a montgomery public high school and a lecture/demonstration for students at a local university. The students served at these various events ranged in ages from kindergarten to college. Over 1,000 persons, including more than 600 youth, benefitted from the services delivered. Clefworks 2014 festival included 9 educational components, involving more than 45 teachers, 21 artists, 40 volunteers, 4 paid guest musicians and 2 part-time, paid guest musicians.”
