SCOPEs mission is to engage the public and connect them to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) through speaking engagements, local, state and national events, as well as sustained involvement by accessing information and resources, at no cost, for the pipeline from Education to Workforce. Target demographics include: parents, students, adults in the underserved areas of urban and rural cores, with some outreach given to outlying suburban regions. Because there are many programs dedicated to serving youth, SCOPE particularly focuses on the bringing a real life relevance to communities at large, particularly those who would otherwise self-select away from Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. SCOPE works with government, industry, education and civic groups to reinforce their opportunities and insure theyre brought to people where they live.
