Hospital Preparedness assists in emergency preparedness planning by providing the coordination and funding to upgrade the preparedness of acute care hospitals for responding to incidents such as bioterrorism, outbreaks of infectious disease, and natural or man made disasters within their communities. NH Health Access Network strengthens the NH health care safety net by improving financial access systems based on a uniform approach for low-income, uninsured and under-insured people statewide. The Community Health Improvement program supports new strategies to improve health. Rural Quality Improvement Network helps to improve the quality of care in small rural hospitals. The Health and Equity Partnership works to eliminate disparities based on race, ethnicity, language barriers, etc. to insure all people have access to high quality health services. NH Comprehensive Cancer Collaboration works to prevent and reduce the cancer burden for people in NH. The Foundation for Healthy Communities has entered into a partnership with the Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) to adopt evidence-based practices that have the potential to reduce harm in ten areas.
