Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 FIN 48 (ASC 740) footnote

“ATP is exempt from income taxes on income from related activities under Section 501(c)(6) of the U. S. Internal Revenue Code and corresponding state tax law. Certain of its activities are subject to tax on net unrelated business income from those activities. Also, certain activities conducted outside the United States are subject to a corporate income tax assessed by the respective governmental authorities. ATP's subsidiary is a taxable entity. ATP is not considered to be a private foundation under Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code. ATP has adopted applicable guidance with respect to accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. A tax position is recognized as a benefit only if it is "more likely than not" that the tax position would be sustained in a tax examination, with a tax examination being presumed to occur. The amount recognized is the largest amount of tax benefit that is greater than 50% likely of being realized on examination. For tax positions not meeting the "more likely than not" test, no tax benefit will be recorded. ATP is no longer subject to examination by taxing authorities for years before 2012. ATP does not expect the total amount of unrecorded tax benefits to significantly change in the next 12 months. ATP recognizes interest and/or penalties related to income tax matters in income tax expense. ATP did not have any amounts accrued for interest and penalties at December 31, 2016 and 2015.”

The ATP's weekly magazine TV show - ATP World Tour Uncovered - attracted more than 60 million viewers throughout the season, meaning more than 1 billion fans tuned into ATP tennis across the year. TV viewership at the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals broke the 100 million mark for the third consecutive year, while more than 250,000 fans came to watch the eight-day tournament in London, meaning the tournament has welcomed more than 2 million fans to The O2 since it moved to London in 2009. The Tour's official website, ATPWorldTour.com, attracted 131 million visits, with total website page impressions reaching 503 million. The ATP, its players & tournaments, generated a social media following of more than 121 million people.

The ATP World Tour featured 62 tournaments in 32 countries. The ATP announced a new tournament, the Next Gen ATP Finals, set to take place in Milan in November 2017. The tournament will serve as a platform to promote the next generation of players, while at the same time providing an opportunity to trial with rule changes and innovation in the game. The ATP Challenger Tour featured 166 tournaments in 41 countries.
