Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 FIN 48 (ASC 740) footnote

“ATP is exempt from income taxes on income from related activities under Section 501(c)(6) of the U. S. Internal Revenue Code and corresponding state tax law. Certain of its activities are subject to tax on net unrelated business income from those activities. Also, certain activities conducted outside the United States are subject to a corporate income tax assessed by the respective governmental authorities. ATP's subsidiary is a taxable entity. ATP is not considered to be a private foundation under Section 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code. ATP has adopted applicable guidance with respect to accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. A tax position is recognized as a benefit only if it is "more likely than not" that the tax position would be sustained in a tax examination, with a tax examination being presumed to occur. The amount recognized is the largest amount of tax benefit that is greater than 50% likely of being realized on examination. For tax positions not meeting the "more likely than not" test, no tax benefit will be recorded. ATP is no longer subject to examination by taxing authorities for years before 2011. ATP does not expect the total amount of unrecorded tax benefits to significantly change in the next 12 months. ATP recognizes interest and/or penalties related to income tax matters in income tax expense. ATP did not have any amounts accrued for interest and penalties at December 31, 2015 and 2014.”

An all-time record 4.5 million fans attended ATP World Tour events, while 973 million viewers tuned in to ATP World Tour broadcasts across the season, a 10% increase on the previous year. TV viewership at the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals broke the 100 million mark for the second consecutive year, while more than 260,000 fans came to watch the eight-day tournament in London. The ATP's BEAT THIS marketing & advertising campaign was implemented at more than 40 tournaments worldwide, while ATP World Tour Uncovered, the Tour's weekly magazine show, attracted an audience of approximately 60 million viewers. The Tour's official website, ATPWorldTour.com, was relaunched and attracted 167 million web visits, while the ATP combined with its players and tournaments generated a social media following of more than 80 million people. The ATP also launched its new social media app, MyATP, in a continued focus on digital marketing.
