Part iii line 28: in 2014 hattheatre taught approximately 200 students a combination of performing arts and public speaking classes. This includes a school year (september to april) 27 week program, summer camp/workshops juneaugust, home-school classes, and classes for adults that run continuously all year in 6 week blocks. 2 students in one family in youth classes were on 100% scholarship. 3 students in the summer camp program were on 50% scholarships, and 4 students in the adult classes through the year attended for free. We ran living social deals as well which allowed many to take our classes for 1/2 price. Our student base includes those who fall on the autism spectrum as well as those diagnosed with adhd and other learning disabilities. Our goal is to mainstream all populations. Free performances of our one-act weekend served approximately 80, our end year performance served approximately 320. Every summer workshop week ends witha free performance as well. The youth troupe performances, one in the fall and one in the spring, served the community with 6 shows attended by approximately 400. Our adult series this year produced 2 shows (12 performances) and served approximately 600 audience members. The quality of life, was nominated as best play and best ensemble by the richmond theatre critics circle. Community service days were held 2 times this year. School children in this area need community service hours for school. We were able to bringthese kids into the theatre where they could gain those hours with our non-profit. Our efforts to partner with other performing arts groups paid off and both 5th wall theatre and thursdaenite players used our venue for shows this year. West end comedy improv troupe also uses our space and performs one weekend a month. We were able to get a new sign for the front window that is lighted, and we purchased our first sound board and a few new lights.
