OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: LADOT - COMMUNITIES FOR SAFER STREETSince the beginning of the year, City Fabrick has been working with partners, including Toole Design Group and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation [LADOT], on a series of traffic safety and mobility projects. These projects include mobility upgrades to high-risk corridors throughout the city, including Pacioma, Wilmington, and South LA. We have been supporting these projects with community engagement strategy, outreach materials and events, and visualizations. The communities First campaign is already yielding positive dividends as three projects from the Communities First campaign have been awarded funding through the California Active Transportation Program. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: LONG BEACH PARKSLong Beachs oldest and newest parkthe downtown civic centers recently redeveloped Lincoln Parkis being activated by a collective of community partners including the City of Long Beach, Downtown Long Beach Alliance, S111, and City Fabrick. With financial support from the Long Beach Community Foundation, Knight Foundation, and interTrend, the team is developing a model for enhanced programming and management of the park through public-private partnerships. The growing Lincoln Park collaborative has had some early success supporting unique programming and increased management strategies while City Fabrick is developing a sustaining organization along with associated communications and engagement. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: COSTA MESA FOR PARK IMPROVEMENTSOver the past year our Landscape Design team has been collabo?rating with the City of Costa Mesa and Pat West, to engage commu?nity members and partners to develop visions for redesigning and expanding two neighborhood parks on the Westside of the city. Shalimar Park is a pocket park that is designed to spill out into the public right-of-way turning the adjacent streetscape into an engaging place for play. The design for Ketchum-Libolt Park will expand available green space by removing a large unused concrete pad and block wall. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: TRANSFORMING SHORELINE DRIVEIn February 2023, Congressman Robert Garcia announced that the City of Long Beach had been awarded $30 million of federal transportation funds to support transforming Shoreline Drive into a multimodal boulevard while doubling the size of the adjacent Cesar Chavez Park. City Fabrick collaborated with the Congress for New Urbanism to develop the initial report that demonstrates the opportunities for reimagining the two-mile long freeway spur that separates Downtown Long Beach from the Los Angeles River and waterfront. This will be an absolutely transformative project for Long Beach, trading a car-oriented piece of concrete for people? centered green space that is honestly needed in this commu?nity, Brian Ulaszewski said in the Longbeachize story. Later in the year, the City shared plans for the expanded project that includes replacing the Shoemaker Bridge will an elegant structure that will provide a grand gateway into the Downtown. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: MICRO-UNITS IN LONG BEACHWe continue collaborating with Burnham Development and their various partners on creating a multitude of innovative micro-unit developments in Downtown Long Beach as we collectively seek ways to meet the missing middle of housing affordability. We have submitted to the City of Long Beach for planning approvals of two new compact living communities in the North Pine and East Village neighborhoods in the Downtown. 711 Pine will have nearly fifty effi?cient one-bedroom units while 421 East 4th Street has nearly one?hundred studios, both mixed-income consisting of market-rate and deed-restricted affordable homes. Both proposals have abundant common amenities and outdoor spaces, much of which is located on the top floors, providing residents incredible views of the Southland. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN ARIZONAWe also began venturing out of stat

Shalimar Park is a pocket park that is designed to spill out into the public right-of-way turning the adjacent streetscape into an engaging place for play. The design for Ketchum-Libolt Park will expand available green space by removing a large unused concrete pad and block wall.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0MICRO-UNITS IN LONG BEACHWe continue collaborating with Burnham Development and their various partners on creating a multitude of innovative micro-unit developments in Downtown Long Beach as we collectively seek ways to meet the missing middle of housing affordability.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: LADOT - COMMUNITIES FOR SAFER STREETSince the beginning of the year, City Fabrick has been working with partners, including Toole Design Group and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation [LADOT], on a series of traffic safety and mobility projects.
