OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: TINY TIM DEVELOPMENTTiny Tim Plaza will become the prototypical example of revitalizing the suburban style strip retail center in order to serve the surrounding community. The auto-oriented site configuration typical to these developments will serve as the platform for creating community serving uses including outfoor common areas, spaces for nonprofit parterns and affordable housing. This will be done by retaining the two primary commercial buildings as well as a majority of the current tenants, which will provide an ideal mix of neighborhood serving retail, restaurants and services. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: STEELCRAFTLocated in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach, SteelCraft is an outfoor food hall created using ten 20 and 40 foot shipping containers that host a total of eight businesses, including a Japanese ramen restaurant, an award-winning brewery and a flower and chocolate shop. City Fabrick served a major role in building, landscaping and graphic design of SteelCraft, arranging the containers to create a series of inviting courtyards and patios.

The project is to reinvigorate multiple civic assets, including parks, libraries and community center to be better connected physically and emotionally to their surrounding neighborhoods. City Fabrick provided design and communication services and community outreach assistances for developing two proposals sites in Central Long Beach, a historically under-invested community in the city. The work was financial supported as part of a grant through the California Endowment.
