The organization has a written conflict of interest policy that is completed by its' directors and employees. The conflict of interest statement is reviewed yearly, and is on file at the organization's office. The board or a duly constituted committee thereof shall determine whether a conflict exists and in the case of an existing conflict, whether the contemplated transaction may be authorized as just, fair and reasonable to project fine. The decision of the board or a duly constituted committee thereof on these matters will rest in their sole discretion, and their concern must be the welfare of project fine and the advancement of its purpose.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15A

A performance review of the executive director is conducted annually by the executive committee of the board of directors. The review and any applicable salary adjustment is brought before the full board for a vote and documentation in the meeting minutes. The purpose of the review is to document the past year's performance, develop a work plan for the coming year, provide feedback for work related goals and determine what resources are needed to be successful. The review shall be written and specifically address each of the areas noted above. Following the performance review, the board of directors will meet in closed session to discuss the review. At this time, the board will also discuss any necessary compensation adjustments. Any adjustments will be voted upon by the board of directors and presented to the executive director.

Employment services: connect refugees and immigrants with employment and training to reach their economic goals. In 2019, 281 hours of services were provided to 186 individuals. Nutrition classes: educational sessions on nutrition and cooking were held in 2019 with 28 individuals participating. Diversity training: educational training on specific cultures and how to develop a welcoming environment. In 2019, 1,200 individuals received training. Healthy communities: this project is intended to develop a community that is more safe, inclusive and welcoming for refugees, immigrants and all residents. In 2019, activities focused on expansion of the welcoming table gatherings to st. Charles and educational sessions on immigration and building relationships with local, state and national elected officials to share the challenges in our region. Welcoming table: this project is an opportunity for the community to come together to share a meal and build cross-cultural relationships. In 2019, 323 participants attended monthly gatherings, which feature food from various cultures and a short presentation. Kid's cultural club: youth age 5-12 participate in weekly sessions focused on building cross-cultural awareness and relationships. In 2019, 93 youth particpated in program activities. Colorful growers: youth and their families participate in agricultural education, plan and plant their own garden plot, and sell their produce at local markets. In 2019, 25individuals participated. College education connection: provides academic support and access to resources for youth as they pursue higher education. In 2019, 7 scholarships were awarded to program participants. Girls reaching above and beyond: designed to help girls age 10-18 discover their identity and strengths and create a roadmap to pursue their dreams. In 2019, 59 girls participated. Force: this program is designed for middle and high school boys and focuses on developing positive character traits and values, promoting healthy lifestyle choices, and preparing for financial stability. In 2019, 52 boys participated in program activities.

IN 2019, 323 PARTICIPANTS ATTENDED MONTHLY GATHERINGS, WHICH FEATURE FOOD FROM VARIOUS CULTURES AND A SHORT PRESENTATION. KID'S CULTURAL CLUB: YOUTH AGE 5-12 PARTICIPATE IN WEEKLY SESSIONS FOCUSED ON BUILDING CROSS-CULTURAL AWARENESS AND RELATIONSHIPS. IN 2019, 93 YOUTH PARTICPATED IN PROGRAM ACTIVITIES. COLORFUL GROWERS: YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES PARTICIPATE IN AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION, PLAN AND PLANT THEIR OWN GARDEN PLOT, AND SELL THEIR PRODUCE AT LOCAL MARKETS. IN 2019, 25INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED. COLLEGE EDUCATION CONNECTION: PROVIDES ACADEMIC SUPPORT AND ACCESS TO RESOURCES FOR YOUTH AS THEY PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION. IN 2019, 7 SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED TO PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS. GIRLS REACHING ABOVE AND BEYOND: DESIGNED TO HELP GIRLS AGE 10-18 DISCOVER THEIR IDENTITY AND STRENGTHS AND CREATE A ROADMAP TO PURSUE THEIR DREAMS. IN 2019, 59 GIRLS PARTICIPATED. FORCE: THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL BOYS AND FOCUSES ON DEVELOPING POSITIVE CHARACTER TRAITS AND VALUES, PROMOTING HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHOICES, AND PREPARING FOR FINANCIAL STABILITY. IN 2019, 52 BOYS PARTICIPATED IN PROGRAM ACTIVITIES.
