Child & family healthy development:within child & family healthy development, our services fall into two categories: early childhood & family services and child & adult therapeutic services.early childhood & family services: through our early childhood & family services programs, lifetrack is committed to helping every child we serve improve in one or more key developmental indicators: social, cognitive, motor, speech/language and mental health and to seeing that their parents and caregivers increase their knowledge of resources to meet their child's basic, health and developmental needs. * lifetrack resources served 5,529 adults and children in 2012 through our child & family healthy development focus area.* lifetrack's families together therapeutic preschool served 74 children through our two locations at 709 university avenue and the eastside community center. On average children had 8 risk factors (includes poverty, child abuse and neglect, chemical dependency of parent, mental/physical health issues of parent, domestic violence, homelessness, teen parent, etc.).* families together participated in the parent aware program, whose major goal is to link children to quality early childhood programs that will help them become ready for school. Lifetrack was given a 4-star (highest) rating. This qualified our program to receive scholarship money for some of our children. * 95% of children participating in the families together therapeutic preschool program at least 6 months have increased their rate of development in at least one of the following areas: social, cognitive, motor, and speech language.* 98% of parents/caregivers increased their knowledge of community resources thus increasing support systems to meet their child's basic needs. 89% of parents demonstrated positive parenting techniques that enhanced school readiness skills in their children.* after three years of implementation, families together in the home, our new home visiting project served 168 individuals.child & adult therapeutic services: lifetrack's unique work is made possible through an in-house therapy team and network of partners, and provides integrated, effective therapeutic services to our clients and families. Lifetrack is designated by the minnesota department of health as an essential community provider for our ability to serve low-income, highly at-risk individuals.* 100% of children and adults who received therapy services in 2012 improved physical functioning or communication abilities. * we assisted 1,544 parents of children who are deaf or hard of hearing through our minnesota hands & voices program, the only resource of its kind in the state.
