The officers of trp shall constitute an executive committee of the board of directors. Except to the extent otherwise provided in resolutions of the board of directors from time to time and by the general not for profit corporation act of illinois, the executive committee shall have and may exercise all of the powers and authority of the board of directors in the management of the affairs of the organization between board meetings. In addition, the executive committee shall be responsible for ongoing review and recommendations to enhance the quality and future viability of the board of directors. The committee's responsibilities include (1) regularly reviewing and updating the board roles and responsibilities and helping to shape the board's agenda based on the board adopted strategic plan (2) develop a profile of the board, lead in assessing current and anticipated needs related to board composition, identify and cultivate potential board members and nominate at-large members to be elected to the board (3) design and execute board orientation process and ongoing board education (4) regularly review the board's practices and assess board performance and recommend appropriate changes no less than once a year at the annual board meeting (5) nominate a slate of board officers in anticipation of bi-annual elections.

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 FIN 48 (ASC 740) footnote

The resurrection project is exempt from income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code. The resurrection project remains liable for income taxes on unrelated business income. No provision or benefit for income taxes has been included in these consolidated financial statements for the partnerships and llcs since taxable income passes through to, and is reportable by, the partners and members individually. The apartment corporations have net operating loss carryforwards in the aggregate amount of $265,000 and $179,000 at december 31, 2023 and 2022 respectively. No income tax benefit has been recognized for the carryforwards because there is no assurance that future taxable income will be generated. The entities recognize the financial statement impact of a tax position when it is more likely than not that the position will be sustained upon examination.

TRP PROVIDES A RANGE OF COMMUNITY PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT RESIDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE ELLAS (EN LA LUCHA A SOBREVIVIR OR IN THE FIGHT TO SURVIVE) PROGRAM SERVED 920 WOMEN, INCLUDING CANCER SURVIVORS, WITH PROGRAMMING, SERVICES, AND RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES. HOPE FAMILY SERVICES - TRP'S FAMILY STRENGTHENING AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PREVENTION PROGRAM - ENGAGED 659 NEW CLIENTS, PROVIDING COUNSELING SESSIONS AND SUPPORT GROUPS FOR ADULTS, PARENTS, COUPLES, CHILDREN, AND FAMILIES. AS AN ADMINISTRATOR OF ILLINOIS' ACCESS TO JUSTICE (IL A2J) PROGRAM, TRP LED A NETWORK OF 409 COMMUNITY NAVIGATORS WHO FACILITATED 8,823 COMMUNITY PRESENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS. THE IL A2J PROGRAM ALSO PROVIDED NO-COST IMMIGRANT LEGAL SERVICES, INCLUDING 7,660 LEGAL SCREENINGS, 4,305 OF WHICH BECAME RETAINED CASES IN 2023. TRP'S IMMIGRANT JUSTICE LEGAL CLINIC CONDUCTED 1,491 LEGAL SCREENINGS AND RETAINED 792 CASES. ADULTS, YOUTH, AND CHILDREN. TRP LAUNCHED A NEW INITIATIVE TO ASSIST ELIGIBLE NEWLY ARRIVED IMMIGRANTS ATTAIN WORK PERMITS. TRP AND LEGAL SERVICE PARTNERS CONDUCT LEGAL SCREENINGS AND HELP NEW IMMIGRANTS APPLY FOR THEIR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION DOCUMENT (EAD) THROUGH TEMPORARY PROTECTED STATUS (TPS) AND PAROLE. THE INITIATIVE OFFERS LARGE-SCALE WORKSHOPS, WHICH SERVE 150-200 IMMIGRANTS DAILY; PROVIDES TRANSPORTATION TO THE WORKSHOPS; AND PROMOTES LEGAL SERVICES IN SHELTERS. TRP HELD 16 WORKSHOPS AND ASSISTED 1,655 APPLICANTS SUBMIT APPLICATIONS FOR WORK AUTHORIZATION AND 612 APPLICANTS SUBMIT TPS APPLICATIONS.
