| 2016 ACCOMPLISHMENTS: OUR SUMMER PROGRAMS SERVED 65 CHILDREN IN OUR WRANGLER AND TEH RODE YOUTH CLAY CAMPS, 45 MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN OUR TEEN THROWING CAMPS, 35 ADULTS CAME TO OUR GUEST ARTIST WORKSHOPS. IN ADDITION TO THIS, 55 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN OUR ONE-DAY OR FAMILY WORKSHOPS. OUR PARTNERSHIPS IN EDUCATIONAL ART PROGRAMS INCLUDED WORKING WITH KETCHUM PARKS AND RECREATION, THE LOCAL YMCA, SAGE SCHOOL, COMMUNITY SCHOOL, WOOD RIVER HIGH SCHOOL, CAREY HIGH SCHOOL, BIG WOOD PRE-SCHOOL, SYRINGA SCHOOL, SAWTOOTH BOTANICAL GARDENS, SUN VALLEY SKI EDUCATION FOUNDATION, THE BRAVE GROUP FROM THE DRUG COALITION AND 40 CAMPERS IN THE HIGHER GROUND CAMP. VOLUNTEERS FROM OUR STUDIO MADE A CLAY EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 200 CAMPERS AT CAMP RAINBOW GOLD AT CAMP PERKINS FOR CHILDREN UNDERGOING CANCER TREATMENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. OUR STUDIO MEMBERS BROUGHT ALL OF THE SUPPLIES AND SPENT 3 EIGHT-HOUR DAYS WORKING WITH THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES AT THE CAMP. OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER THAT BENEFITS THE HUNGER COALITION OF THE WOOD RIVER VALLEY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS RAISING OVER 7,200. 100% OF THESE FUNDS HELP TO FEED THE LESS FORTUNATE IN BLAINE COUNTY. STUDIO MEMBERS AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS MADE OVER 350 SOUP BOWLS THAT WERE SOLD AT THE EMPTY BOWLS LUNCHEON. “2016 accomplishments: our summer programs served 65 children in our wrangler and teh rode youth clay camps, 45 middle and high school students in our teen throwing camps, 35 adults came to our guest artist workshops. In addition to this, 55 individuals participated in our one-day or family workshops. Our partnerships in educational art programs included working with ketchum parks and recreation, the local ymca, sage school, community school, wood river high school, carey high school, big wood pre-school, syringa school, sawtooth botanical gardens, sun valley ski education foundation, the brave group from the drug coalition and 40 campers in the higher ground camp. Volunteers from our studio made a clay experience possible for approximately 200 campers at camp rainbow gold at camp perkins for children undergoing cancer treatments and their families. Our studio members brought all of the supplies and spent 3 eight-hour days working with the children and their families at the camp. Our annual fundraiser that benefits the hunger coalition of the wood river valley was a huge success raising over 7,200. 100% of these funds help to feed the less fortunate in blaine county. Studio members and other volunteers made over 350 soup bowls that were sold at the empty bowls luncheon. This event was co-organized with the hunger coalition of the wood river valley featuring food from 15 restaurants and coordinating volunteers from 10 organizations. Boulder mountain clayworks hosted 10 bowl making parties with a total of 200 individuals which were free to the public. Our organization donated the instruction, clay, glaze, firing and facilities bringing the community together for a wonderful cause. In addition to these charitable events and partnerships, our organization held classes for visitors and residents of the area. We taught 10 adult wheel throwing pottery classes for 60 students, 5 adult figurative sculpture classes for 40 students, and had 15 students in children's' clay classes during the school year. Our studio also opens its doors to children and adults for birthday parties and to other organizations so that they can offer their members a creative clay experience. In 2016 we served 100 people in this way. We have 28 full-time members of the studio and 25 part-time members. Boulder mountain clayworks and its members and volunteers directly touch the lives of more than 1,200 people in the wood river valley community and by ripple effect we touch the lives of many more.”

OUR PARTNERSHIPS IN EDUCATIONAL ART PROGRAMS INCLUDED WORKING WITH KETCHUM PARKS AND RECREATION, THE LOCAL YMCA, SAGE SCHOOL, COMMUNITY SCHOOL, WOOD RIVER HIGH SCHOOL, CAREY HIGH SCHOOL, BIG WOOD PRE-SCHOOL, SYRINGA SCHOOL, SAWTOOTH BOTANICAL GARDENS, SUN VALLEY SKI EDUCATION FOUNDATION, THE BRAVE GROUP FROM THE DRUG COALITION AND 40 CAMPERS IN THE HIGHER GROUND CAMP. VOLUNTEERS FROM OUR STUDIO MADE A CLAY EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 200 CAMPERS AT CAMP RAINBOW GOLD AT CAMP PERKINS FOR CHILDREN UNDERGOING CANCER TREATMENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES. OUR STUDIO MEMBERS BROUGHT ALL OF THE SUPPLIES AND SPENT 3 EIGHT-HOUR DAYS WORKING WITH THE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES AT THE CAMP. OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER THAT BENEFITS THE HUNGER COALITION OF THE WOOD RIVER VALLEY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS RAISING OVER 7,200. 100% OF THESE FUNDS HELP TO FEED THE LESS FORTUNATE IN BLAINE COUNTY. STUDIO MEMBERS AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS MADE OVER 350 SOUP BOWLS THAT WERE SOLD AT THE EMPTY BOWLS LUNCHEON. THIS EVENT WAS CO-ORGANIZED WITH THE HUNGER COALITION OF THE WOOD RIVER VALLEY FEATURING FOOD FROM 15 RESTAURANTS AND COORDINATING VOLUNTEERS FROM 10 ORGANIZATIONS. BOULDER MOUNTAIN CLAYWORKS HOSTED 10 BOWL MAKING PARTIES WITH A TOTAL OF 200 INDIVIDUALS WHICH WERE FREE TO THE PUBLIC. OUR ORGANIZATION DONATED THE INSTRUCTION, CLAY, GLAZE, FIRING AND FACILITIES BRINGING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER FOR A WONDERFUL CAUSE. IN ADDITION TO THESE CHARITABLE EVENTS AND PARTNERSHIPS, OUR ORGANIZATION HELD CLASSES FOR VISITORS AND RESIDENTS OF THE AREA. WE TAUGHT 10 ADULT WHEEL THROWING POTTERY CLASSES FOR 60 STUDENTS, 5 ADULT FIGURATIVE SCULPTURE CLASSES FOR 40 STUDENTS, AND HAD 15 STUDENTS IN CHILDREN'S' CLAY CLASSES DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. OUR STUDIO ALSO OPENS ITS DOORS TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS FOR BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS SO THAT THEY CAN OFFER THEIR MEMBERS A CREATIVE CLAY EXPERIENCE. IN 2016 WE SERVED 100 PEOPLE IN THIS WAY. WE HAVE 28 FULL-TIME MEMBERS OF THE STUDIO AND 25 PART-TIME MEMBERS.
