2013 accomplishments: served over 64 children in our "space" clay camp and 36 teenagers in pottery throwing camps. We have 24 full time members of the studio and a circulating 25 other part time members throughout the year. Empty bowls was another huge success. We invited the community into the studio to make over 300 soup bowls to be sold at the event. 100% of the proceeds went to the purchase of food by the hunger coalition to feed those in need. Our organization donated all of the clay, glaze and firing capabilities to the community of aspiring potters in order to help the hungry people of the wood river valley. The event brought in over 4000 and brought the whole community together for a wonderful afternoon of delicious soup, salad and lots of generosity. We provide a wonderful activity to youth fighting and surviving cancer at camp rainbow gold. Our volunteers brought all supplies and spent hours working with almost 200 children over the course of 3 weeks. We provided classes to 20 wounded war veterans with sun valley adaptive sports also known as "higher ground of sun valley". We provided clay classes to 8 wood river jewish community sunday school children. We worked with children in the art programs of the community school, carey school, wood river high school and girl scout troops from hailey and boise. Boulder mountain clayworks has touched the lives of over 400 in the wood river valley and surrounding areas.
