FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

The organization's objectives are to encourage artistic growth and development in the community by 1. Offering instruction in clay and other media to adults and children. 2. Providing a creative atmosphere where clay artists can develop their vision. 3. Scheduling events that are free and open to the public where the community can better appreciate the clay arts.

Volunteers spent over 650 hours helping with special projects in the studio and on site at other non-profit partners of boulder mountain clay such as camp rainbow gold, higher ground, sage school, community school and blaine county hunger coalition.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Boulder mountain clayworks offers clay art instruction for adults and children, both residents of and visitors to the wood river valley. We provide a creative atmosphere and facilities where clay artists can develop their vision, and we bring projects to and collaborate with other local non-profits to foster arts education among their constituencies. In 2024 we had 60 full-time and 20 part-time members who pursue their own projects, collaborate with others, and generally work side-by-side in the studio and provide know-how, inspiration, and assistance to other members in the process. We provide them with a huge range of large and small equipment, supplies, tools, workspaces, and materials with which to create their very messy clay art. Among the resources we provide, boulder mountain clayworks houses and operates the only cone 10 kiln in the wood river valley, which fires at the heat required to produce the highest quality, impermeable stoneware. In 2024, boulder mountain clayworks' summer programs served 82 children in our 7 youth clay camps, 45 middle and high school students in our 5 teen throwing camps and 30 in our family one day workshops. During the school year, we taught adult wheel-throwing classes for 50 students, 34 sculpture and handbuilding classes for a total of 40 adults, and had 85 students in children's clay classes. Our studio also opens its doors to children and adults for other non profit partnerships for clay experience events. In 2024, we brought projects to some of the underserved communities in bellevue, hailey and carey through the bloom program.we had the sage school come and participate in "bowl making" for the empty bowl fundraiser for the blaine county charitable fund. We have provided little to no cost clay classes to syringa mountain school, trinity school, girl scouts of america, pioneer montessori school, wood river high school, sun valley community school, higher ground and idaho school for the deaf and blind.we also offer team building exercises to corporations geared toward employee wellness. Boulder mountain clayworks, its members, and volunteers directly touch the lives of more than 450 people in the wood river valley, and, by ripple effect we touch the lives of many more.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0THE ORGANIZATION'S OBJECTIVES ARE TO ENCOURAGE ARTISTIC GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE COMMUNITY BY 1.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1VOLUNTEERS SPENT OVER 650 HOURS HELPING WITH SPECIAL PROJECTS IN THE STUDIO AND ON SITE AT OTHER NON-PROFIT PARTNERS OF BOULDER MOUNTAIN CLAY SUCH AS CAMP RAINBOW GOLD, HIGHER GROUND, SAGE SCHOOL, COMMUNITY SCHOOL AND BLAINE COUNTY HUNGER COALITION.
IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt2BOULDER MOUNTAIN CLAYWORKS OFFERS CLAY ART INSTRUCTION FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN, BOTH RESIDENTS OF AND VISITORS TO THE WOOD RIVER VALLEY.
