The conservancy board of directors consists of fifteen village citizens; ten directors are elected by the membership and five directors are appointed by the mayor of gates mills.

The conservancy has written documentation describing the monitoring and enforcement policy for their conservation easements. A. The conservancy relies on the volunteer efforts of its board of directors to monitor the conditions on each preserved property at least annually. The conservancy is responsibile to enforce the terms of the easements, defending them from challenges, and remedying violations to the easements. B. The written enforcement policy includes: 1.
