JEFFERSON'S FERRY IS LOCATED ON A 50-ACRE SITE IN THE TOWN OF BROOKHAVEN, SUFFOLK COUNTY, LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK. JEFFERSON'S FERRY INCLUDES A 40,000 SQUARE FOOT COMMUNITY CENTER WITH CASUAL AND FORMAL DINING, PUB, BEAUTY AND BARBER SHOP, INDOOR POOL, FITNESS CENTER, LIBRARY, COMPUTER CENTER, THEATER, CARD ROOM, BILLIARDS ROOM, WOODWORKING SHOP, AND MEDITATION ROOM. JEFFERSON'S FERRY HAS 220 INDEPENDENT LIVING APARTMENTS, 28 INDEPENDENT LIVING COTTAGES, 60 ENRICHED HOUSING APARTMENTS AND 60 SKILLED NURSING SUITES, 20 OF WHICH ARE SEPARATELY LOCATED AND AVAILABLE TO RESIDENTS WITH LATE-STAGE COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT. THE HEALTH CENTER ALSO HAS FIVE SEPARATE DINING AREAS, LOUNGES, THERAPEUTIC RECREATION, PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL, AND SPEECH REHABILITATION CLINIC AND A WELLNESS CENTER. IN 2013 JEFFERSON'S FERRY PROVIDED SERVICES, SUPPORT, AND CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS TO SEVERAL LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. JEFFERSON'S FERRY ALSO PROVIDED FINANCIAL SUBSIDIES TO RESIDENTS OF $77,376. |
