Mission

The purpose of this corporation is to provide resources and services for the basic needs of life to those in need, including, but not limited to clothing, food, utility assistance, and counseling through a cooperative effort of people and organizations in the community.

The community bread basket is a cooperative outreach ministry of the churches, other supportive organizations, businesses and individuals in the weirton, wv area to assure the basic needs of life for people and families.

BULK SUPPLIES ARE PURCHASED FROM THE MOUNTAINEER FOOD BANK. 2,701 FAMILIES WERE ASSISTED DURING 2018 IN ADDITION TO SEVERAL LOCAL LOW-INCOME HOUSING FACILITIES AND OTHER FOOD ASSISTANCE ORGANIZATIONS.
