“After it is reviewed by management and board finance committee, and prior to filing with the internal revenue service, form 990 is presented to the board of directors for approval.”
“Directors are personally accountable for learning, endorsing and promoting the conflict of interest policy and applying it to their own conduct and field of work. Directors are asked to review this policy and confirm on a regular basis, through written or electronic declaration, that they understand their individual responsibilities and will conform to the requirements of this policy.”

“Founded in 1972, one reel fuels civic pride through signature experiences that foster growth and development in community and the arts. We take pride in connecting audiences with diverse and progressive arts and cultural ideas through opportunities that would otherwise not exist. One reels primary programs include "bumbershoot- and "pianos in the parks". As co-producer and the longtime curator of the essential programming for bumbershoot, seattles longest running music and arts festival, one reel faces the same challenge year after year. For decades, bumbershoot has managed to dazzle and surprise audiences. To do this, one reel works year- round with local artists to curate a wide range of multi-disciplinary, creative programming and spectacles that honor the festivals legacy. In 2019, we worked with hundreds of local dancers, stage performers, writers, filmmakers, visual artists, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, acrobats, puppeteers, magicians, musicians and volunteers to engage and delight seattle residents and visitors alike. While bumbershoot comes and goes each year, the secret of the festivals success is the enduring, creative partnerships we have created within the community. And we strive to protect these relationships, as we juggle the day-to-day duties required to produce the event. One reel relaunched pianos in the parks in 2019 to empower neighborhoods to join us in a presenting a public art and concerts to showcase the cultural vitality, creative identity and vibrant landscape that defines our sense of community. We recruited 13 neighborhood organizations to band together to create a unified event that rewarded creative explorers from outside of the neighborhoods with something new, while building civic pride among the local residents through public art and music. To accomplish this, one reel offered tools, guidance, deadlines, budgets and words of encouragement to keep the neighborhoods on track. We helped them hire local artists and resident musicians to deepen the connection to their community, recruited local ambassadors to care for the pianos, and selected a worthwhile organization to donate the piano at the end of the event. The relaunch was a success and, together, we presented a hyper-local event that reflected the diversity and cultural heritage of the surrounding neighborhoods, while attracting new visitors to benefit the surrounding local businesses. To round out the year, one reel produced a series of humanities-focused career days on behalf of the city of seattle, targeting at-risk and minority youth with an interest in pursuing a career in visual arts, music or film. Attendees enjoyed a curated program featuring hands-on workshops, group panel discussions, mentoring sessions and professional networking opportunities. All this was made possible through partnerships with seattle's office of film & music, seattle's office of arts & culture, seattle's music commission, seattle's arts commission, seattle art museum, cornish college of the arts, m-pop, kexp and seattle center. In building new opportunities to strengthen our partnerships and aligning ourselves with a new group of local artists, musicians, community groups, and businesses, one reel has fueled creative events for nearly 50 years that reflect the city we live in and have helped to shape seattles tomorrow.”

| IRS990/Desc | 0 | FOUNDED IN 1972, ONE REEL FUELS CIVIC PRIDE THROUGH SIGNATURE EXPERIENCES THAT FOSTER GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN COMMUNITY AND THE ARTS. IN BUILDING NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO STRENGTHEN OUR PARTNERSHIPS AND ALIGNING OURSELVES WITH A NEW GROUP OF LOCAL ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, COMMUNITY GROUPS, AND BUSINESSES, ONE REEL HAS FUELED CREATIVE EVENTS FOR NEARLY 50 YEARS THAT REFLECT THE CITY WE LIVE IN AND HAVE HELPED TO SHAPE SEATTLES TOMORROW. |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | THE ONE REEL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM IS COMPRISED OF INDIVIDUALS WHO DONATE THEIR TIME TO FESTIVAL PROJECTS IN ROLES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INFORMATION BOOTH SUPPORT, PRODUCTION AND STAGE SUPPORT, ADMISSIONS SUPPORT AND CATERING SUPPORT. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | FOUNDED IN 1972, ONE REEL FUELS CIVIC PRIDE THROUGH SIGNATURE EXPERIENCES THAT FOSTER GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT IN COMMUNITY AND THE ARTS. |
