One reel proudly co-produces seattle's iconic arts and music festival, bumbershoot. One reel contributes to the programming, promotion, art installations and overall consulting of the event. One reel is the steward of the essential character of bumbershoot music and arts festival, programming multi-disciplinary programs and giving opportunities to hundreds of local dancers, writers, film makers and artists of all genres to perform in front of up to 30,000 audience members. One reel's projects are propelled by deep and meaningful community partnerships with arts and civic organizations. One reel held four career days in 2018, for music, film, literary and visual arts, which delivered arts and education programs to over a thousand students and young adults seeking professional guidance from active experts in their fields. All of which was made possible through partnerships with seattle's office of film & music, seattle's office of arts & culture, seattle's music commission, seattle's arts commission, seattle art museum, seattle public library and local business industry leaders, such as amazon and the boeing company. Additionally, one reel unveiled a new, ongoing program called art saves me in 2018. The program focuses on the transformative power of art and encourages artists to share their creative journey with the community. Only a single art saves me artist was featured in 2018, but the artist engaged with over 30,000 people through live events and the art saves me video created by the artist was watched by over 100,000 youtube viewers. To this day, one reel remains dedicated to leaving a lasting cultural legacy for future generations of seattle. Upon reviewing our achievements for the year, we feel like one reel moved the needle forward in 2018.”
