Activity 2

Annual Meeting: The NPA Annual Meeting is the largest meeting and networking event in the postdoctoral community. Each meeting is highly engaging and productive for postdoctoral scholars, administrators, and other individuals working to enhance the postdoctoral experience. NPA's Annual Meeting is held each year in the spring.

Activity 3

As part of the celebration of National Postdoc Appreciation Week, the National Postdoctoral Association organized and hosted the workshop "Leading Innovation and Discovery" for National Science Foundation (NSF) postdoctoral fellows and their mentors. More than 40 participants came together in Arlington, VA, to discuss the NSF's strategy for leading innovation and discovery. Highlights of the workshop included: a poster session; remarks by Dr. Cora B. Marrett, NSF Deputy Director; opportunities for cross-disciplinary networking and collaboration; the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the NSF Strategic Plan and to gain understanding of the way that an institution's strategic planning impacts innovation and discovery; and sessions on logic models and their value in assessing programs and projects. The workshop was funded by the NSF under Award No. DBL 1151245.
