ADMINISTRATIONEnrollment ManagementFairfield University welcomed 993 members of the Class of 2016 and 39 transfer students to campus this year. The number exceeded the budgeted goal of 925, the targeted goal of 950 as well as the stretch goal of 975. The Class of 2016 is a strong class, with an average SAT score of 1757, 13 points higher than that of the Class of 2015. Changes in some admission processes, a carefully defined financial aid strategy, and enhancements to recruitment efforts resulted in the large and talented class. Fundraising Efforts RecognizedThe Council for Advancement and Support of Education recognized the University's Division of Advancement with a Circle of Excellence Award for Educational Fundraising in 2012. Member in the Circle of Excellence is bestowed on a highly select group of educational institutions whose overall fundraising results and creative programming demonstrate exemplary performance or significant improvement.

Activity 3

EXTERNAL RELATIONSConference and Event Office Established A new Office of Conferences and Event Management has been established at the University. The initiative is a revenue generation venture designed to increase the number of major conferences, camps and other external events at the University. The Office provides a centralized resource for all needs related to running events and conferences on campus in addition to marketing the institution for this purpose.
