“Sam rutigliano kerry rutigliano chair director family”
“Prior to filing, the form 990 is presented to the executive director and finance staff for review and approval. The form 990 is then electronically distributed to the board of directors in advance of filing. A board officer signs the 990 (or 8879-eo) and the 990 is electronically filed.”
“Each year, the board members are asked to review the organization's conflict of interest policy. Among other things, the policy makes clear that all decisions of the board, officers, and employees of the organization are made solely on the basis of a desire to promote the best interest of the organization and the public good. The conflict of interest statement requests board members to identify to the best of their knowledge affiliations with organizations that may be potentially related to the financials or other substantive operations of the organization. They are also asked to identify circumstances involving either themselves, or a member of their extended family, that may be construed as a conflict of interest. At the staff level, the organization's personnel also ensure that there are no conflicts of interest when considering the engagement of a new vendor. If a potential conflict is identified, appropriate steps are taken to both assess the nature of the potential conflict and, subsequently, to ensure that the possibility of an actual conflict is mitigated. Such mitigation is managed and the letter and spirit of the conflicts policy are upheld.”
“The organization's governing documents, form 1023, form 990 conflict of interest policy and financial statements are made available to the public upon request. The form 990, without schedule b, can also be found on several publicly-accessible websites.”

“And discern the intricacies of the world in which they live. Literacy is the foundation of our program, and the foundation of success in school and in life. Our readers are given the opportunity to explore books across all subjects, reading levels and genres. They are introduced to greek myths, fairy tales, poetry and books that have a basis in science technology, engineering and math (stem.) as they grow more comfortable, they are encouraged to read biography, non-fiction and chapter books. Our literacy days are fun, but they are intensive. During every session the students are read to, reading individually, reading in groups and writing in their journals. Health & wellness- it is vital that children know the importance and how to take care of their bodies at an early age. Through zumba, jump rope, dance, drumming and more, we have one day dedicated every week to doing something fun, new and active. We also talk about nutrition and dietary choices. We try new health snacks, make smoothies, hydrate and learn about making good food choices. Personal development- our personal development works much in the same way a book does. A great book will take you on a journey outside of the room you are in. By bringing in artists, medical professionals, urban farmers, athletes, political figures, military and many other community leaders, we are bringing the outside world into their school. It gives these kids an opportunity to interact and ask questions of people they might not get a chance to see in their communities. We want the kids to see where their paths can lead and to begin thinking about a positive future for their family. While literacy is at the core of our mission, what makes us so unique and successful is that we are not just an afterschool reading program. Children in our program are provided with resources, inspiration and guidance that will help them to lead meaningful and impactful lives. Most importantly, we teach them that they are important and that the can be successful.”

| IRS990/Desc | 0 | CSICF IS OPERATING IN THREE (3) CMSD SCHOOLS FOR THE 2015-16 SCHOOL YEAR. EACH LOCATION SERVES 24 STUDENTS, FOUR DAYS A WEEK. COACH SAM'S WORKS WITH THE WRAP-AROUND (INVESTMENT) INITIATIVE WITHIN THESE SCHOOLS. OUR PROGRAM FOCUSES ON THREE MAIN COMPONENTS: LITERACY, HEALTH & FITNESS AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT. LITERACY- LITERACY IS THE ABILITY TO READ, VIEW, WRITE, DESIGN, SPEAK AND LISTEN IN A WAY THAT ALLOWS YOU TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY. THE POWER OF LITERACY LIES NOT JUST IN THE ABILITY TO READ AND WRITE, BUT RATHER IN A CHILD'S CAPACITY TO APPLY THESE SKILLS TO EFFECTIVELY CONNECT, INTERPRET AND DISCERN THE INTRICACIES OF THE WORLD IN WHICH THEY LIVE. MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE TEACH THEM THAT THEY ARE IMPORTANT AND THAT THE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL. |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | COACH SAM'S INNER CIRCLE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE INTENSIVE LITERACY INTERVENTION INTEGRATED WITH HEALTH & FITNESS, AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING IN AT-RISK COMMUNITIES TO DEVELOP THE WHOLE CHILD. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | AND DISCERN THE INTRICACIES OF THE WORLD IN WHICH THEY LIVE. MOST IMPORTANTLY, WE TEACH THEM THAT THEY ARE IMPORTANT AND THAT THE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL. |

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 3 | PRIOR TO FILING, THE FORM 990 IS PRESENTED TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND FINANCE STAFF FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL. THE FORM 990 IS THEN ELECTRONICALLY DISTRIBUTED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN ADVANCE OF FILING. A BOARD OFFICER SIGNS THE 990 (OR 8879-EO) AND THE 990 IS ELECTRONICALLY FILED. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 4 | EACH YEAR, THE BOARD MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO REVIEW THE ORGANIZATION'S CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY. SUCH MITIGATION IS MANAGED AND THE LETTER AND SPIRIT OF THE CONFLICTS POLICY ARE UPHELD. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 5 | THE ORGANIZATION'S GOVERNING DOCUMENTS, FORM 1023, FORM 990 CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY AND FINANCIAL STATEMENTS ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC UPON REQUEST. THE FORM 990, WITHOUT SCHEDULE B, CAN ALSO BE FOUND ON SEVERAL PUBLICLY-ACCESSIBLE WEBSITES. |
