IN 2022, THE BONNER COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (BCEDC) DEVELOPED AND FORMALLY ADOPTED AN ECONOMIC STRATEGIC PLAN FOR BONNER COUNTY, SPONSORED BY THE CITY OF SANDPOINT. STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOPS WERE HELD AT THE BEGINNING OF 2022, WHICH PROVIDED THE CORE COMPONENTS INTEGRATED INTO THE FINAL BONNER COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIC PLAN, COMPLETE WITH CORE PRINCIPLES, FOCUS, STRATEGIC PRIORITIES, INITIATIVES, AND ACTION ITEMS.--
IN 2022, BCEDC WORKED WITH THE CITY OF SANDPOINT TO SET UP A WORKFORCE HOUSING TASK FORCE TO GET ALL THE STAKEHOLDERS IN ONE ROOM AND WORK THROUGH ISSUES AND CONCERNS. In 2022, the bonner county economic development corporation (bcedc) developed and formally adopted an economic strategic plan for bonner county, sponsored by the city of sandpoint. Strategic planning workshops were held at the beginning of 2022, which provided the core components integrated into the final bonner county economic development strategic plan, complete with core principles, focus, strategic priorities, initiatives, and action items.

In 2022, bcedc worked with the city of sandpoint to set up a workforce housing task force to get all the stakeholders in one room and work through issues and concerns. The effort was to remove obstacles and kick-start some affordable housing projects. The effort resulted in a record number of building permits for multi-family housing permits in the city of sandpoint and bonner county. In 2022, bcedc worked with panhandle area council to receive and begin implementation of a 9mm usda infrastructure grant to rebuild the clark fork, idaho public water system, including a new well, cistern, treatment building and distribution system.

IN 2022, BCEDC WORKED WITH PANHANDLE AREA COUNCIL TO RECEIVE AND BEGIN IMPLEMENTATION OF A 9MM USDA INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT TO REBUILD THE CLARK FORK, IDAHO PUBLIC WATER SYSTEM, INCLUDING A NEW WELL, CISTERN, TREATMENT BUILDING AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM.
