“In 2020, the bonner county economic development was instrumental in community outreach to small business owners affected by covid-19. We updated our website to be a single source of resource references and communication that affected business owners and their employees. We secured a large sum of grant funding from a private/public entity and developed an outreach program where business owners could apply for assistance if they were having to adjust their business model due to covid, if they needed assistance with tax law updates due to covid, help in applying for and tracking covid governmental funding resources. We utilized local resources like cpas, marketing firms, it specialists, etc in our local communities to provide the services. This then helped our economy by supporting our local resources and helping the recipients of the funds grow their businesses. Thirty eight companies were helped by the funding and over twelve local resource companies utilized.”
