With one of the largest fleets of mobile dental clinics in the country, St. David's Dental Program offers free dental care to children at Title I elementary schools in Central Texas, as well as to adults referred by area clinics and the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM). Each of the nine vans is equipped with two dental exam rooms, digital x-rays, and computer workstations. The vans are staffed by licensed dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants. In 2013, St. David's Dental Program treated 9,595 students and patients free of charge at 46 schools and agencies throughout Central Texas. The schools eligible for the program have a Title I designation and more than half of the student population participates in free lunch programs.
