“2022 opened with some relief of the challenges we faced in 2021 as Covid 19 world impact began to subside. The work in North India increased dramatically as a new tunnel into the Ladhak region opened giving access to new areas. Sri Lanka actually went into intense political and economic crisis as the affects of global economic struggles and government corruption brought dire straits to the island as a whole. Nevertheless, our work in the leper villages in the north increased to bring basic necessities of life. We also kept our commitment in the Afghanistan refugee initiative by collaborating with partners in the Middle East to help relocate close to 3,000 of this nations marginalized peoples. In Sri Lanka, this new door of opportunity to service the poorest of the poor has been quite an undertaking and we forecast we will triple our efforts in the years to come. We resourced our team to feed and clothe over 7,500 lepers in 2022. We also remain connected to the 2019 bombing victims and their families with resources as the three year anniversary of this tragedy has come. These efforts will continue to be a future focus going forward in Sri Lankas forgotten north. The opportunity to serve Afghanistan refugees fleeing after the US withdrawal has proven to be a wonderful opportunity. We thankfully have been able to keep helping resettle these marginalized peoples. We currently meet weekly with our global leaders via Zoom to train and equip leaders in the UAE, India, Sri Lanka, Spain, Switzerland, Israel, Brazil and the UK. In 2022, we had such impact as our travel increased to be on the ground helping in these nations.”
