“Map 10/40 is a nonprofit mission organization working in the following countries sri lanka, india, israel, uae, brazil and in several western africian nations in 2016. Sri lanka and india continue to be the primary countries of significance, but opportunities in israel and brazil are increasing. In 2016, the work in sri lanka continued with our family counseling centers fcc focusing on teen suicide. The average monthly attendance seeking suicide intervention in this nation alone is over 1,000 young persons. Our goal is to establish more fccs in more nations in 2017, especially india and pakistan. In 2016, the organization also saw deeper development of the partnership with lady willingdon hospital in manali, india. We continue to recruit and bring specialized medical professionals to work in the hospital in manali. We developed an fcc at the hospital in 2016. Currently, there are more of the poorest of poor people seeking help in this social unspoken critical area of family life. 2016 also saw continued development of transient hostel targeting next generation youth that are visiting manali. Young people from both india and abroad visit manali as the drug trade is prolific in these areas. The hospital asked us to target drug abuse among this age group to minister hope and rehabilitation. 2016 fould us again israel both in jewesh occupyed regions and the west bank. Israel is proving to be a significant increase for map 1040 as the migrant worker force of sri lanka and indian nationals have asked us to minister to them as they work in israel. We have been doing this type of work in the emirates for several years so it is a natural fit to come along side these people. Our goal is to establish an fcc in israel as the pressure of living in this volatile nation is proving extreme especially among the next generation pursiing aliyah.”
