Governance Explanations

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

After review from Executive Director and Finance Officer, the 990 is sent electronically to all of the members of the Board of Directors for review before it is submitted for filing with the Internal Revenue Service.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

All new employees are required to fill out a conflict of interest disclaimer. The Board of Directors reports on potential conflicts of interest each year. The Executive Director monitors all relationships in regard to potential conflicts of interest.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

Since its inception, the organization has utilized the following policy in regard to determining employee salaries. The Executive Director determines a maximum salary for each new position. This salary is based on equivalent positions in the community and the organization's financial position and is approved by the Board of Directors in the annual budget. Job announcements contain a salary range. Final salary determination is made by the Executive Director based on qualifications of the new employee. Annual raises are recommended to the Board of Directors for final approval.
