Mission

Transforming lives of women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction by providing a long-term residential program to experience physical, emotional and spiritual healing through recovery.as the first long-term residential recovery program for women in georgia, breakthru house is designed to meet the unique needs of women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Utilizing the 12 steps and therapeutic community, breakthru house provides a safe, structured drug free environment to foster a life of recovery while therapeutically addressing addiction as a disease, unresolved grief, trauma and poor self-esteem issues commonly associated with female addicts.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

-will open breakthru mom house to serve 15 family units -has received approval for carf (commission on accreditation of rehabilitation facilities) licensure with 3 year accreditation to assist organizations to improve the quality of their services and meet internationally recognized standards. The carf survey team came on october 5 and 6, 2017. Breakthru house takes pride in acheiving this high level of accreditation. -was the rpimary charity for "taste of the town-decatur" sponsored by william keller realty on august 24, 2017 in downtown decatur at the old courthouse featuring live music, decatur cuisine and a silent auction. The goal was to raise 15,000 which was met. The donation was presented to bth on october 17, 2017 -had a "growing strong brunch and silent auction" on october 25, 2017 at 10 am at first decatur united methodist church. The keynote speaker was bishop sue haupert-johnson of the north georgia conference. Mistress of ceremony was 11alive reporter jennifer leslie. The event was a huge success. Quote from bth client: "breakthru house has given me a better outlook on life. Being here has given me a chance to get to know myself. The groups that we do here are teaching me to open up more and not hold things in i am able to express my feelings in a more appropriate manner. Being here is a blessing to all that come after me i am grateful for breakthru house.

THE GOAL WAS TO RAISE 15,000 WHICH WAS MET. THE DONATION WAS PRESENTED TO BTH ON OCTOBER 17, 2017 -HAD A "GROWING STRONG BRUNCH AND SILENT AUCTION" ON OCTOBER 25, 2017 AT 10 AM AT FIRST DECATUR UNITED METHODIST CHURCH. THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER WAS BISHOP SUE HAUPERT-JOHNSON OF THE NORTH GEORGIA CONFERENCE. MISTRESS OF CEREMONY WAS 11ALIVE REPORTER JENNIFER LESLIE. THE EVENT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS.
