“First accomplishment. Missionary training, counseling, and debriefing for several months janet and i met with a couple referred to us by another missionary care ministry. At the time we started meeting, the couple was headed to ivory coast as missionaries at a missions school. They wanted to prepare well for this transition, and also to deal with some anger issues on the part of the husband. It appeared to us that their sending agency had no form of pre-field training for new missionaries. So we provided some of that for this couple. We continued to provide online debriefing and counseling to currently active and former missionaries as requested. We do this mostly via skype, facetime, and facebook video”

“Second accomplishment. We grew our you were made for this podcast. We created and produced content for another 52 episodes for our weekly podcast, you were made for this. The podcast shares principles and strategies to help people of faith, particularly missionaries, strengthen their relationships. Our experience has taught us that relationship issues are the most common areas of stress in the life of missionaries. Since we began the podcast in late 2018, we have 164 episodes in our library as of the end of this fiscal year. All of them can be accessed anytime, anywhere in the world. We continue to get positive feedback from missionaries and other listeners that they are finding the podcast helpful. Using iab statistics for the first time, there were 2,008 downloads of the podcast in 2021-22 the podcast has been downloaded in 73 different countries. The top 5 with the most downloads were, in this order: the united states, india, canada, the u.k., and thailand.”

“Third accomplishment. Added an additional website to host our podcast episodes with new podcast episodes being added weekly, it was becoming unwieldy to organize them and make past episodes easy for listeners to access. Our new website, johncertalic.com is much more user-friendly, allowing users to search for particular topics of interest to them. We cross-reference our caringforothers.org website with this new site. Another thing this new site does is allow for much better seo (search engine optimization) in order to attract new listeners”
