“Writing. The book started several years ago was finally completed and was published on february 27, 2016. Them - the richer life found in caring for others is about how missionaries, mission agencies, and all of us can better care for each other. The book is 245 pages,18 chapters, and about 80,000 words in length. As a result of the book, a missionary care workshop was held in neenah, wi in may, and a week-long debriefing conference was scheduled for september with avant mission in kansas city the book came into being through assisted self-publishing, resulting in printing and publishing costs.”

“Missionary training. Conducted a missionary care training workshop in may with one another ministries on the island of guernsey in the english channel. Ministered to approximately 20 missionaries at this conference. This was in preparation for a slightly larger conference to be held in spain in october 2016 for mission leaders in western europe where john will be leading in devotionals each morning, and conducting a listening workshop.”

“Counseling and debriefing of missionaries. Both individual and couples counseling to help missionaries deal with the stresses of missionary life. Missionaries tell us they found this ministry instrumental in helping them return to the mission field with renewed hope, encouragement, and energy. 20 different missionaries, from 10 different mission agencies met with us for this purpose during the past year. They serve in 8 different countries around the world. Some of the counseling was done via skype, and others in our home for days at a time.”
