Writing. Continued writing a book on caring for others that when completed, will be made available to 800 mission agencies based in the us, and 166 headquartered in canada. It's purpose will be to better equip missionaries to better care for each other. There are an estimated 147,000 missionaries serving under these 966 mission agencies. As of june 30, the end of our fiscal year, 17 chapters and about 82,000 words have been written. All 17 chapters have gone through two rounds of self-editing and revision, and the first 6 chapters through a third revision. Next step is to complete a third draft of all 17 chapters,and possibly a fourth revision, before turning the entire manuscript over to a professional editor. Estimated completion date of the book is december 15, 2015.

Missionary training. Conducted two large missionary training workshops, one in august 2014 in holland for pioneers, and the other in october 2014 in kansas city for avant ministries. A combined total of approximately 75 missionaries were ministered to. The training centered around developing better listening skills, along with group and individual debriefing and counseling. Also conducted a brief one day workshop for 3 missionaries interested in developing their member care skills. In addition, gave a talk to the marquette university chapter of intervaristy on developing sustaining relationships through the power of asking questions. Expenses were mostly for unreimbursed travel costs.

Counseling and debriefing of missionaries. Both individual and couples counseling to help missionaries deal with the stresses of missionary life. Missionaries tell us they found this ministry instrumental in helping them return to the mission field with renewed hope, encouragement, and energy. 14 different missionaries, from 9 different mission agencies met with us for this purpose during the past year. They serve in 9 different countries around the world. Some of the counseling was done via skype, and others in our home for days at a time.

IT'S PURPOSE WILL BE TO BETTER EQUIP MISSIONARIES TO BETTER CARE FOR EACH OTHER. THERE ARE AN ESTIMATED 147,000 MISSIONARIES SERVING UNDER THESE 966 MISSION AGENCIES. AS OF JUNE 30, THE END OF OUR FISCAL YEAR, 17 CHAPTERS AND ABOUT 82,000 WORDS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN. ALL 17 CHAPTERS HAVE GONE THROUGH TWO ROUNDS OF SELF-EDITING AND REVISION, AND THE FIRST 6 CHAPTERS THROUGH A THIRD REVISION. NEXT STEP IS TO COMPLETE A THIRD DRAFT OF ALL 17 CHAPTERS,AND POSSIBLY A FOURTH REVISION, BEFORE TURNING THE ENTIRE MANUSCRIPT OVER TO A PROFESSIONAL EDITOR. A COMBINED TOTAL OF APPROXIMATELY 75 MISSIONARIES WERE MINISTERED TO. THE TRAINING CENTERED AROUND DEVELOPING BETTER LISTENING SKILLS, ALONG WITH GROUP AND INDIVIDUAL DEBRIEFING AND COUNSELING. ALSO CONDUCTED A BRIEF ONE DAY WORKSHOP FOR 3 MISSIONARIES INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING THEIR MEMBER CARE SKILLS. IN ADDITION, GAVE A TALK TO THE MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY CHAPTER OF INTERVARISTY ON DEVELOPING SUSTAINING RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH THE POWER OF ASKING QUESTIONS. EXPENSES WERE MOSTLY FOR UNREIMBURSED TRAVEL COSTS.

THEY SERVE IN 9 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD. SOME OF THE COUNSELING WAS DONE VIA SKYPE, AND OTHERS IN OUR HOME FOR DAYS AT A TIME.
