“Starting a podcast. In may 4-5, john certalic went to san diego to get trained in setting up a podcast. It is a rather complicated process in terms of the technology involved, planning the content of each episode, and then making it known to the outside world. The podcast will be called "you were made for this,- and will be about transforming our relationships into the best they can be. It will share principles and strategies to help people of faith, particularly missionaries, strengthen their relationships. Our experience has taught us that relationship issues are the most common areas of stress in the life of missionaries. Anticipated launch date of the podcast is october 10, 2018.”

“Missionary training. Conducted a missionary care training workshop september 26-28, 2017 for ethnos360 in sanford, fl. In november we put on two more training workshops, one for a church in cedar rapids, ia, and the other for a pastors and christian workers conference in westboro, wi. The former was a missionary care training workshop, and the later was training in developing a mastermind group for pastors and missionaries.”

“Counseling and debriefing of missionaries. Both individual and couples counseling to help missionaries deal with the stresses of missionary life. Missionaries tell us they found this ministry instrumental in helping them return to the mission field with renewed hope, encouragement, and energy. A missionary heading back to thailand in the fall came to us for this very purpose. A couple who served in tajikistan met with us almost weekly since december to help process what they have been through, and what it means for their future. This past year we were also engaged in several long-term weekly counseling sessions via skype with several missionaries, one in bangladesh, and two in guatemala”
