THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, ANNIECANNONS TOUCHED THE LIVES OF AN ADDITIONAL 30 INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING BOTH STUDENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN, THROUGH OUR TRAINING PROGRAM. WE ADDED ADDITIONAL CURRICULUM MATERIALS AND DISTRIBUTED THEM OPEN SOURCE TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS SERVING MARGINALIZED POPULATIONS. ANNIECANNONS ALSO CREATED NEW CURRICULUM MODULES AND DESIGNED NEW TRAINING "SPRINTS" THAT HELPED OUR STUDENTS LEARN MORE ADVANCED CONCEPTS. OF THE STUDENTS WHO FINISHED OUR ENGINEERING TRAINING PROGRAM, ALL OF THEM CONTINUE TO WORK WITH US ON PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND DEVELOP NEW TECHNOLOGY SKILLS INCLUDING REACT AND REACT NATIVE. 100% OF STUDENTS IN ANNIECANNONS FIFTH COHORT NOW EARN INCOME FROM SKILLS THEY LEARNED IN CLASS, WITH THE 60% WHO QUALIFIED TO DO WEB DEVELOPMENT WORK WITH US EARNING PRIMARILY AS ANNIECANNONS SUBCONTRACTORS DOING SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT WORK. THE OBJECTIVE OF OUR TRAINING PROGRAM IS TO INSTILL SUFFICIENT SOFTWARE SKILLS TO HELP GRADUATES EARN ECONOMIC POWER THROUGH OUR EARNING PROGRAM OR IN AN INDEPENDENT EMPLOYMENT ROLE. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, DATA QUALTIY AND SOFTWARE TESTING WORK WAS ALSO MADE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS WHO COMPLETED PHASE I OF OUR TRAINING PROGRAM (DESCRIBED ABOVE) AT A RATE OF ROUGHLY $20 PER HOUR. AT CORE, OUR EARNING PROGRAM IS DEDICATED TO (I) ACQUIRING ECONOMIC POWER IN THE FORM OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT FUNDS FROM CLIENTS AND NGOS AND (II) DELIVERING THAT ECONOMIC POWER TO OUR QUALIFIED GRADUATES, ALL OF WHOM ARE SURVIVORS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE, FOR COMPLETING THE ASSOCIATED SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS.
