Mission

See schedule o to improve the community's health, through a forum of organizations, positively impacting health outcomes for all individuals and families. Live well omaha (lwo), founded in 1995, formerly known as our healthy community partnership, is an initiative consisting of thirty seven organizations to improve the health of the omaha community. Lwo, by creating a forum of community organizations that identify, measure, educate, and facilitate action, has laid the foundation for building a healthier community. This has been achieved by setting and fulfilling goals, which have positively impacted the community's health.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Top 10 in 10 is an initiative that seeks to focus on the improvement of health of employees in omaha through the collaborative benefits of efforts by businesses in the omaha metropolitan and to translate best practices to the community. The goal top 10 in 10 has set before it is to become one of the healthiest communities in the country in ten years. Top 10 in 10 will describe and endorse excellent health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness programs by multiple organizations in omaha. It will develop effective indicators of health and wellness and support and contribute to policy formulation regarding health and wellness of the community based on best practices in work-place programs. Top 10 in 10 will stimulate additional health and wellness activities through consultative outreach and development activities. The initiative would draw from and work with organizations to translate best practices in the workplace to the community at large.
