The 990 is reviewed by the organization's board chair, treasurer and the executive director.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C Conflict of interest policy

The organization reviews conflict of interest policy annually at a meeting of the board to provide information and guidance to the members. Any new members of the board shall be advised of the policy upon entering the duties of his/her office and shall sign the conflict of interest statement annually.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 15A Process to establish compensation of top management official

Compensation-decision authority related to the worksource montgomery executive director is the responsibility of the human resources committee which includes representatives from both the worksource montgomery, inc. Board and the workforce development board. Compensation-decision authority related to the worksource montgomery staff is the responsibility of the worksource montgomery executive director. The joint hr committee shall approve a compensation policy to guide compensation decisions for staff. At least every two years, the hr committee shall engage a reputable consultant to provide market data for similarly situated (size, revenue, etc.) organizations from both regional and national sources and from both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. To approve the compensation for the executive director, the human resource committee and the joint executive committee must document how it reached its decisions, including the data on which it relied, in minutes of the meeting during which the compensation was approved.

The Organization evaluates uncertainty in income tax positions based on a more-likely-than-not recognition standard. If that threshold is met, the tax position is then measured at the largest amount that is greater than 50% likely of being realized upon ultimate settlement. As of June 30, 2022 and 2021, there are no accruals for uncertain tax positions. If applicable, the Organization records interest and penalties as a component of income tax expense. Tax years from 2019 through the current year remain open for examination by tax authorities.
