Millions of creatives and thousands of businesses around the world depend on copyright to bring all of us countless moments of inspiration, learning, and joy. Our mission is to advocate for strong but appropriate copyright protections and to empower creatives to speak out against piracy and how it affects their ability to create and to make a living.

“Program Service Form 990, Part III, Line 4a CreativeFuture accomplishes their program service goals through 3 main initiatives: 1) We mobilize the creative communities to speak up about the value of creativity and how our works strengthen the fabric of our society. CreativeFuture brings creatives to Washington, D.C. to speak with policymakers about the importance of copyright. We also work closely within our communities to publish op-eds in outlets nationwide. 2) Our Youth Outreach initiative raises awareness about the cultural, ethical, and economic implications of creative ownership to foster greater respect for artists and the creative process. 3) "StandCreative" aims to change the perception that art is 'easy' by putting a face to some of the hardworking people who are trying to make a living by doing what they love and by bringing together our creative communities to use our collective, unified, and powerful voice to speak up about the value of creativity. CreativeFuture brings creatives to Washington, D.C. to speak with policymakers about the importance of copyright. The final return is reviewed with the Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer prior to filing. Conflict of Interest Policy Compliance Form 990, Part VI, Question 12c The Conflict of Interest policy mandates that directors and officers have a responsibility to disclose their interests that could give rise to financial conflicts of interest. These parties are surveyed annually to identify potential conflicts and ensure compliance with the organization's policy. Responses are reviewed by our Treasurer to determine whether a conflict may exist; if so, the following is evaluated: a) whether the conflict influenced any transaction or decisions, b) if so, whether any present measure can cure or mitigate that conflict, and c) what can be done in the future to prevent such conflicts. If an actual past conflict is discovered it will be brought to the attention of the board and the conflicted person(s) may be subject to discipline if the conflict was not reported, and also for participating in a decision or transaction that posed a conflict of interest. Process for Determining Compensation Form 990, Part VI, Question 15a Compensation for the Chief Executive Officer is determined by the Board of Directors. Compensation data, compiled by an outside law firm, is obtained to provide comparability data for other similarly-situated trade associations.
