The final return is reviewed with the Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer prior to filing. Conflict of Interest Policy Compliance Form 990, Part VI, Question 12c The Conflict of Interest policy mandates that directors and officers have a responsibility to disclose their interests that could give rise to financial conflicts of interest. These parties are surveyed annually to identify potential conflicts and ensure compliance with the organization's policy. Responses are reviewed by our Treasurer to determine whether a conflict may exist; if so, the following is evaluated: a) whether the conflict influenced any transaction or decisions, b) if so, whether any present measure can cure of mitigate that conflict, and c) what can be done in the future to prevent such conflicts. If an actual past conflict is discovered it will be brought to the attention of the board and the conflicted person(s) may be subject to discipline if the conflict was not reported, and also for participating in a decision or transaction that posed a conflict of interest. Process for Determining Compensation Form 990, Part VI, Question 15a Compensation for the Chief Executive Officer is determined by the Board of Directors. Compensation data, compiled by an outside law firm, is obtained to provide comparability data for other similarly-situated trade associations. The boards deliberations and discussions are duly noted in the minutes of the meeting. The board is comprised of independent persons. During 2016 the Board extended the current Executive Directors employment through 2018.
