Additional Explanations

FORM 990, PART XII, LINE 2C:

The board advised by its finance committee selects the outside auditors. Staff is responsible for compilation and preparation of the financial statements and schedules prior to the outside audit. The finance committee and the board reviews the audited financial statements prior to release to the public.

Financial Statement Notes

PART X, LINE 2:

The organization follows asc topic 740-10, accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. Asc topic 740-10 requires entities to determine whether it is more likely than not that a tax position will be sustained upon examination of the technical merits of the position, assuming the taxing authority has full knowledge of all information. If the tax position does not meet the more likely than not recognition threshold, the benefit of that position is not recognized in the financial statements. The organization recorded no assets or liabilities for uncertain tax positions or unrecognized tax benefits for 2014 and 2013. The organization's form 990 returns for the years ended december 31, 2013, 2012 and 2011, remain subject to examination by the internal revenue service. The return for the year ended december 31, 2014, has not yet been filed. The irs has extended the due date to august 15, 2015.
