“As Christian ambassadors of hope and help, Summit Missions International supports mission initiatives in Eastern Europe through partnerships with national Christian leaders. We reveal Gods love and grace through bibically-based programs for youth and adults local Chruch-based focus to raise visibility care for the vulnerable, both young and old commitment to business as missions contributing resources and products and complimenting developing ministries. Biblically-based programs for youth and adults a. Summer Bible Clubs SMI hired a retired school teacher to serve as our in-country coordinator of Bible clubs. Together with our mission program coordinator, plans were made crafts were purchased and shipped for the 2014 Bible club program. SMI was responsible for underwriting the entire cost. This years attendance was the highest ever, reaching nearly 2000 children b. Three English clubs were conducted in-country for university students. Team members from America voluntarily paid their way to travel with SMI to Moldova. Nearly 100 students attended these sessions, enjoying opportunities to hear native English speakers, interact socially and be exposed to biblical teaching c. In 2014 a new program was added to the SMI agenda. This was the first year to hold ladies meetings in three different locations. Designed to promote fellowship, encouragement and a relaxing atmosphere for women to get to know one another, the meetings were a huge success. SMI program coordinator prepared the format, provided refreshments and gave each attendee a special gift. Over 80 women participated in these meetings. The Thrift Store Project has been very successful. Goods are sent to the thrift stores for purchase at nominal prices. The profits from the store are capable of covering the cost of operations and enable expansion. Currently more than 80 people are employed by the thrift stores. Additionally, profits from the stores have enabled the Help the Children program to pay its staff and put money into the HTC building acquisition fund.. Administration - in 2012, SMI purchased its own facility. This building is home for preparation of relief containers, volunteer fellowship and office activities. Our staff has increased to one full-time and five part-time employees during the year because of the increasing workload. More than 7000 hours of work were completed by the staff.”
“Local church-based focus to raise visibility. After 70 years of persecution, small Protestant churches are allowed to worship according to their beliefs. SMI is partnering with these churches, providing opportunity to hold Bible clubs and demonstrating genuine concern for the children. For many, SMI is their only source of assistance. The Antioch Movement is an SMI partner focused on planting churches. In 2014 we welcomed a new representative who has a passion for multiplying churches. SMI is the primary supporter of his efforts in the country of Moldova. During 2014 our partner held three training sessions and contacted 25 pastors, informing them of the church planting movement. Since then several new churches have been started and new church planting has begun in Romania. In addition to providing personal support to the Antioch Movement representative, SMI funds the training sessions. Short-Term Missin Trips to Moldova have been another means of assisting local churches. Volunteers from the USA travel to Moldova to assist in special outreaches to the church community. Volunteers made blankets and SMI shipped them overseas for distribution by our SMI partners and short-term team members. Nearly 200 blankets were distributed in 2014. Short-term teams encouraged churches by their assistance with construction, providing programs and distributing resources.”
“Care for the Vulnerable - In 2014, SMI was able to assist in the following ways a- The Children of the Street is a program operated on the local church level and is designed to provide an afterschool dinner, tutoring and craft time. Approximately 25 children currently participate. As the word spreads and SMI is able to provide funding for the food and supplies, we anticipate even greater growth in this village and other communities. b-Construction projects were conducted by team members who built two additions on existing homes to provide space for adoption of orphans. SMI provides materials and labor for construction and repair at village homes in partnership with Help the Children. Families sign an agreement that enables them to have extra space in their homes to raise and care for children from the local orphanages. If the agreement is not completed by the family, they are responsible for paying for the work that was done. c-Help the Children-SMI is registered under the trade name of Help the Children and serves as the USA representative for this ministry of foster and transitional care for orphans and other children-at-risk. HTC enables these children to live in a Christian environment where they are loved and nurtured. SMI is responsible for administration of the program to include correspondence, bookkeeping, public awareness and hosting staff members who visit the USA. Currently there are 45 children in the foster care program and 12 teenagers in the Transitional Care program. d-Humanitarian Aid-Area missions and local residents donated clothing and shoes that SMI prepared and shipped internationally for distribution by our partners. In 2014, three teams served children in three State-run orphanages. The teams provided assemblies, crafts and games and shared the love of God in a fun environment. SMI provided all the snacks and treats for the children.”

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | As Christian ambassadors of hope and help, Summit Missions International supports mission initiatives in Eastern Europe through partnerships with national Christian leaders. More than 7000 hours of work were completed by the staff. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | Local church-based focus to raise visibility. Short-term teams encouraged churches by their assistance with construction, providing programs and distributing resources. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 2 | Care for the Vulnerable - In 2014, SMI was able to assist in the following ways a- The Children of the Street is a program operated on the local church level and is designed to provide an afterschool dinner, tutoring and craft time. SMI provided all the snacks and treats for the children. |
