“MOBILIZED PEOPLE AND RESOURCES TO ASSIST NATIONAL CHRISTIAN PARTNERS - Summit Missions International SMI was responsible for coordinating and sponsoring the following activities 1. Visited our mission partners in Kiev, Ukraine, Chisinau, Moldova, Tiraspol, Transnistria to provide outreach programs, meet and encourage the leaders and evaluate effectiveness. 2. Conducted a three-day conference for Christian leaders in Moldova and Transnistria. 3. Sponsored Summer Bible clubs which included training leaders in the spring and preparing them to lead in one of the 37 locations where the clubs would meet. Attendance at the clubs topped 2,000 children this year. 4. Provided 8,000 crafts and lunches for every student and staff member of the Summer Bible clubs. SMI supplied total funding for the clubs 26,400 in 2018. 5. Conducted Spring and Fall 5-day English Clubs for 200 university students with follow-up by a local mission partner. 6. Continued construction of Annas Home for discipling young women who have completed the Transitional Care Program. 7. Renewed support for Children of the Street an after-school feeding and tutoring program. MULTIPLIED CHURCHES THAT POSITIVELY INFLUENCE THEIR COMMUNITIES - 1. SMI sponsors a church planting ministry based in Kiev, Ukraine. There are two leaders involved using training materials called Generation. Potential church-planters come to Kiev three times each year for specialized training. Currently the trainees are from five countries. 2. In 2018 our team visited Ukraine and met some of the church-planters and learned about their vision. MAGNIFIED THE LORD AND REVEALED HIS MERCY, LOVE AND GRACE - SMI is responsible for maintaining accurate records, local and international communications, public relations, publications, information technology and other duties that are an integral part of the daily operation. These are some of the aspects of administration 1 SMI operates with staff consisting of only one full-time and four part-time employees. 2 3,500 newsletters were created and distributed during the year. 3 700 prayer calendars are designed, printed and mailed each year. 4 All financial records, receipts and expenditures are accurately processed, reviewed by a CPA and Reviewed by an independant accounting firm each year. 5 All day-to-day operations in both the office and warehouse are conducted by the SMI staff.”
“MOTIVATED YOUTH TO EXPERIENCE GODS LOVE AND RECOGNIZE THEIR PERSONAL WORTH - 1 SMI employs a part-time Bible Club Coordinator in-country as well as a summer staff to manage more than 2,000 children meeting at 37 locations in Transnistria. This year a club was also held in Ukraine and in Moldova. 2 Adventure Camp for teens is a Summit Missions sponsored program. SMI provided monetary help, camping supplies, and other items for this program. 3 SMI also brings teams individuals from neighboring countries to assist in programming. 4 The future development and hope for children and young adults are of primary importance to SMI. This is reflected in the partnerships we have with these ministries a Help the Children Foster and Transitional Care, b English Clubs, c Summer Bible Clubs, d Children of the Street feeding and tutoring, e Orphanage Ministries, f Construction Projects that included the apartment renovation for a Transitional Care student, adding onto a house so that a family could take in another orpahn and providing funds for Annas House to facilitate the mentoring of young women, and g Sports Ministries”
“MET NEEDS THROUGH PRODUCT SHIPMENTS AND PROMOTED BUSINESS AS MISSIONS - 1 Mobilized 130 volunteers who served a combined total of 6857.5 hours valued at 164,923 derived from a recent report from Independent Sector for the State of Ohio. 2 SMI sorted, packaged and prepared 213 tons of aid in 19 shiping containers for distribution to the needy and for our Thrift Store partner in Eastern Europe. Currently we help supply 37 Thrift Stores employing more than 300 people in a severly economically distressed region. 3 SMI provided administrative services without cost for more than 70 kids in the Help the Children foster care and Transitional Care programs for at-risk children and vulnerable youth.”

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | MOBILIZED PEOPLE AND RESOURCES TO ASSIST NATIONAL CHRISTIAN PARTNERS - Summit Missions International SMI was responsible for coordinating and sponsoring the following activities 1. Visited our mission partners in Kiev, Ukraine, Chisinau, Moldova, Tiraspol, Transnistria to provide outreach programs, meet and encourage the leaders and evaluate effectiveness. 2. Conducted a three-day conference for Christian leaders in Moldova and Transnistria. 3. Sponsored Summer Bible clubs which included training leaders in the spring and preparing them to lead in one of the 37 locations where the clubs would meet. Attendance at the clubs topped 2,000 children this year. 4. Provided 8,000 crafts and lunches for every student and staff member of the Summer Bible clubs. SMI supplied total funding for the clubs 26,400 in 2018. 5. Conducted Spring and Fall 5-day English Clubs for 200 university students with follow-up by a local mission partner. 6. Continued construction of Annas Home for discipling young women who have completed the Transitional Care Program. 7. Renewed support for Children of the Street an after-school feeding and tutoring program. MULTIPLIED CHURCHES THAT POSITIVELY INFLUENCE THEIR COMMUNITIES - 1. SMI sponsors a church planting ministry based in Kiev, Ukraine. There are two leaders involved using training materials called Generation. Potential church-planters come to Kiev three times each year for specialized training. Currently the trainees are from five countries. 2. In 2018 our team visited Ukraine and met some of the church-planters and learned about their vision. MAGNIFIED THE LORD AND REVEALED HIS MERCY, LOVE AND GRACE - SMI is responsible for maintaining accurate records, local and international communications, public relations, publications, information technology and other duties that are an integral part of the daily operation. These are some of the aspects of administration 1 SMI operates with staff consisting of only one full-time and four part-time employees. 2 3,500 newsletters were created and distributed during the year. 3 700 prayer calendars are designed, printed and mailed each year. 4 All financial records, receipts and expenditures are accurately processed, reviewed by a CPA and Reviewed by an independant accounting firm each year. 5 All day-to-day operations in both the office and warehouse are conducted by the SMI staff. |
