“MOBILIZED PEOPLE AND RESOURCES TO ASSIST NATIONAL CHRISTIAN PARTNERS - Summit Missions International SMI like most other non-profit organizations experienced a difficult year, due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Many of our programs and humanitarian efforts were disrupted. Listed below are some of the major accomplishments of Summit Missions during 2020. 1. A positive outcome of the pandemic caused us as an organization to re-examine and evaluate our services, update our communication systems to include Zoom and Skype, so that we could better communicate with office/field staff and help conduct our missions humanitarian strategies with our over-seas partners. This pandemic helped us to prepare for the next crisis that may arise. 2. Summit Missions SMI sponsored Summer Bible clubs which included training leaders and 60 teen workers to assist them at the 30 locations where the clubs would meet. Attendance at the clubs topped 2,000 children this year. 3. SMI distributed over 300 homemade blankets to children living in the remote villages. 4. SMI provided 7500 to sponsor the feeding and tutoring program in the town of Grigoriopol,Transnistria, in addition to donating over 12,000 in support for food items that assisted families suffering from the effects of the pandemic. 5. Funded the renovation of the Parcani Orphanage auditorium in Transnistria, 5000 for the 150 children who live in this state-run orphanage. 6. Supplied support for church planting ministries and leaders throughout Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Austria. 7. Continued support for Adventure Camps which offer teens an intense rafting, camping, extreme sports, discipleship and leadership development program centered on Christ.MULTIPLIED CHURCHES THAT POSITIVELY INFLUENCE THEIR COMMUNITIES 1. SMI sponsors a church-planting ministry known as Generations Mission Association, based in Kiev, Ukraine. There are two leaders involved using training materials called Generation. Potential church-planters come to Kiev three times each year for specialized training. Currently we have five mission partners from four countries, support totaled 78,111. 2. MAGNIFIED THE LORD AND REVEALED HIS MERCY, LOVE AND GRACE - SMI is responsible for maintaining accurate records, local and international communications, public relations, publications, information technology and other duties that are an integral part of the daily operation These are some of the aspects of administrationa. SMI operates with staff consisting of only one full-time and four part-time employees. b. 3,500 newsletters were created and distributed during the year. c. All financial records, receipts and expenditures are accurately processed, reviewed by a CPA and reviewed by an independent accounting firm each year. d. All day-to-day operations in both the office and warehouse are conducted by the SMI staff.”
“MOTIVATED YOUTH TO EXPEERIENCE GODS LOVE AND RECOGNIZE THEIR PERSONAL WORTH SMIemploys a part time Bible Club Coordinator in country as well as summer staff to manage more than 2,000 children meeting at 30 locations in Transnistria,Ukraine and Moldova. Although the pandemic significantely reduced the number of children able to attend the Bible Clubs, SMI was still able to budget more than 30,000 to help the operating costs of these clubs. SMI emphases on youth are reflected in the partnerships we have with these ministries, 1. Help the Children Foster and Transitional Care, 2. English Clubs, 3. Summer Bible Clubs, 4. Children of the Street feeding and tutoring, 5. Orphange Ministries, 6. Construction Projects for foster families and families at risk, 7. Sports Ministries, 8. Adventure Camp.”
“MET NEEDS THROUGH PRODUCT SHIPMENTS AND PROMOTED BUSINESS AS MISSIONS 1. Mobilized 111 volunteers who served a combined total of 2886 hours valued at 73,391 derived from a recent report from Independent Sector for the State of Ohio. 2. SMI sorted, packaged and shipped over 79,535 pounds of gift-in-kind donations valued at 325,522 in 12, 40-foot sea shipping containers for distribution to the needy and for our Thrift Store partner in Eastern Europe. Destination of these containers was Tiraspol in the Transnistria region of Moldova where products were distributed to helped supply 35 Thrift Stores employing more than 310 people in a severely economically distressed region. 3. The thrift store project has proved to be a great success and continues to expand In Moldova and Ukraine. It was started 11 years ago to generate income for the Foster Care Program. Local Christian families agreed to be foster parents for a child in one of several orphanages. A stipend was paid to the host family to offset the cost of another person living with them. 4. SMI provided administrative services without cost for more than 60 kids in the Help the Children foster care and Transitional Care programs for at-risk children and vulnerable youth. Through the assistance of donors and volunteers, SMI packed plastic utility boxes with personal care items and school supplies and shipped them to our ministry partners in Transnistria for distribution to those in need.”

| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 0 | MOBILIZED PEOPLE AND RESOURCES TO ASSIST NATIONAL CHRISTIAN PARTNERS - Summit Missions International SMI like most other non-profit organizations experienced a difficult year, due to the Covid 19 pandemic. SMI operates with staff consisting of only one full-time and four part-time employees. b. 3,500 newsletters were created and distributed during the year. c. All financial records, receipts and expenditures are accurately processed, reviewed by a CPA and reviewed by an independent accounting firm each year. d. All day-to-day operations in both the office and warehouse are conducted by the SMI staff. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 1 | MOTIVATED YOUTH TO EXPEERIENCE GODS LOVE AND RECOGNIZE THEIR PERSONAL WORTH SMIemploys a part time Bible Club Coordinator in country as well as summer staff to manage more than 2,000 children meeting at 30 locations in Transnistria,Ukraine and Moldova. Adventure Camp. |
| IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt | 2 | MET NEEDS THROUGH PRODUCT SHIPMENTS AND PROMOTED BUSINESS AS MISSIONS 1. Through the assistance of donors and volunteers, SMI packed plastic utility boxes with personal care items and school supplies and shipped them to our ministry partners in Transnistria for distribution to those in need. |
