Chn has the right to approve significant decisions of the governing body. A trustee of the organization is automatically resigned in the event the trustee loses approval from chn or is no longer a trustee of chn.

The chief financial officer thoroughly reviews the return, compares it to the audited results and reviews all questions for accuracy. Upon satisfaction to the accuracy of the return by the chief financial officer, the return is submitted to the board for approval before filing the return.

Community housing network, inc. (chn) and its related organizations have a written conflict of interest policy that apply to all employees, officers, and board members. Each year conflicts of interest are monitored by management distributing forms to board members and employees requiring them to first disclose any potential conflicts to the ceo. If the ceo is the person in conlfict, the potential conflict is disclosed to the board chair. The board chair determines whether a conflict or potential conflict exists is material. Any disclosures determined to potentially exist and be material is then disclosed to the rest of the board of trustees to determine under what conditions the transaction may be permitted. If a conflict of interest is present, the interested person may attend presentations at the governing board or board meetings, but must excuse themselves from any discussions or decisions made after the presentations. Any employee who violates the policy is subject to a disciplinary action, up to and including discharge, and any board member who violates the policy may be required to resign from the board.

CHN'S HOUSING ALLOWS RESIDENTS TO LIVE STABLY, WHICH IN TURN HAS POSITIVE EFFECTS ON THEIR HEALTH,PRODUCTIVITY AND CONNECTION TO THE COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION, ONCE STABLY HOUSED, CHN'S RESIDENTS USE FEWER COSTLY COMMUNITY RESOURCES LIKE EMERGENCY HEALTH CARE AND HOMELESS SHELTERS, GENERATING SIGNIFICANT COST SAVINGS TO PUBLIC SYSTEMS. TODAY, CHN PROVIDES OVER 1,600PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING UNITS AND IS AN INTEGRAL PART OUR COMMUNITY'S EFFORT TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF OUR MOST VULNERABLE CITIZENS.CHN PROVIDES ALL RESIDENTS WITH A RENT SUBSIDY TO ENSURE OUR HOUSING IS AFFORDABLE, AS WELL AS SAFE, DEPENDABLE, AND WELL MAINTAINED. CHN ALSO OFFERS A CONTINUUM OF SUPPORTIVE HOUSING SERVICE MODELS, INCLUDING MODELS WITH 24/7 ON-SITE WELL-BEING MONITORING, ON-SITE SERVICES,RESIDENT MANAGERS AND CONNECTIONS TO COMMUNITY-BASED SOCIAL, HEALTH AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES. IN ADDITION TO ITS OWN SERVICES, CHN ENGAGES WITH OTHER SERVICE AGENCIES TO OFFER RESIDENTS MORE ACCESS TO BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, WELLNESS AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES. SUCCESS IS MEASURED BY LENGTH OF STAY IN OUR HOUSING, SUCCESSFUL EXITS, INCLUDING EXITS TO MORE INDEPENDENT HOUSING, BEING CONNECTED TO AS-NEEDED SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, AND INCREASED INCOME, INCLUDING THROUGH EMPLOYMENT.
