“Electronic copy sent to all board members with time to review followed by an electronic vote to approve.”
“Board chair and executive director review activities as needed. If a potential conflict exists, it is brought to the board for resolution.”

“THERE ARE NONE.”
“Karl monger, keeper of the accounting books and other documents, has all governing documents, financial statements, conflict of interest statement and other related documents available for inspection at all times. Most documents can be viewed per the website.”
“Formalized the darby project (ranger veteran focused program) and started the wings level foundation (us air force veteran focused program).”

“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: DFW VETERAN CLIMBING: This program provides indoor rock climbing for veterans in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It builds confidence, trust, and builds physical fitness and flexibility. This program has helped over 25 VET participants. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: THE DARBY PROJECT: THE DARBY PROJECT FOCUSES ON VETERANS OF SERVICE IN THE STORIED 75TH RANGER REGIMENT AND GRADUATES OF THE US ARMY RANGER SCHOOL. THE RANGER BUDDY SYSTEM FORMED THE BASIS FOR THE US ARMY'S "BATTLE BUDDIES" AND WAS THE INITIAL CONCEPT UNDER WHICH GALLANTFEW WAS FORMED. AS GALLANTFEW GREW AND RAIDER PROJECT RAPIDLY EXPANDED WE REALIZED A NAMED FOCUS ON RANGERS WAS NECESSARY AND THE DARBY PROJECT WAS OFFICIALLY FORMED IN FEBRUARY 2015 AND PROVIDED OVER 350 SERVICES TO RANGER VETERANS IN 2015. RANGERS ARE SPECIALLY SELECTED AND WELL TRAINED SOLDIERS WHO FACE UNIQUE CHALLENGES AS THEY TRANSITION TO CIVILIAN LIFE. WHO BETTER THAN A RANGER VETERAN, PREVIOUSLY TRANSITIONED, TO BE A LOCAL "GUIDE" TO THE TRANSITIONING RANGER. "RANGERS LEAD THE WAY" OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: WINGS LEVEL: Wings Level will serve veterans of the US Air Force. It is in the very beginning stages. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: DESCENDANTS OF SPARTA: Just as the famous 300 Spartans stood against hordes from the East thousands of years ago, the New American Veteran defends freedom from a similar enemy and as such very much identifies with the ancient Spartan warriors. The Warfighter Pledge (also known as the Spartan Pledge) is a promise made between two combat buddies to maintain communication and find a mission to help other veterans. This has become a powerful anti-suicide campaign/platform whereby veterans promise each other to contact each other prior to committing suicide. We have had thousands take this at various events. These numbers are not counted in our services to veterans. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB): In 2004, President Bush signed a law setting aside 3% of the federal procurement budget to award to SDVOSB. This is a great opportunity for an injured or wounded veteran to establish or grow a small business, but few that qualify know about the program and less about how to circumnavigate the process to certification. GallantFew identifies veterans that qualify, educate them on requirements and mentor them through the process to certification. We have rolled SDVOSB training into services offered through the mentoring program, as the veteran expresses interest. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: THE NEW AMERICAN VETERAN (TNAV): TNAV is an internet audio/video talk show (blog) that archives on YouTube and iTunes. It features veterans who have transitioned to successful civilian occupations and individuals and organizations who are accomplishing good works on behalf of veterans. Veterans are interviewed and those who have been successful in business are featured.”
“After analyzing the general ledger and in budget prepartion for 2017, several expense items had been errorenously posted to the wrong account. The amended return categorizes the expenses to the correct line item accounts. The total expenses did not change”

DARBY OR RAIDER PROJECT) FALL WITHIN GALLANTFEW'S VETERAN MENTORING PROGRAM AND WE PROVIDED 394 SERVICES TO VETERANS OTHER THAN RAIDERS OR RANGERS. GALLANTFEW'S REVOLUTIONARY APPROACH TO HELPING VETERANS IS A CORE COMPONENT OF ALL GALLANTFEW PROGRAMS. WE CONNECT VETERANS LEAVING ACTIVE DUTY WITH LOCAL VETERAN MENTORS FROM THE SAME BRANCH OF THE SERVICE, SAME MOS, EVEN SAME UNIT IF POSSIBLE. WE CALL THESE MENTORS "GUIDES" AND THOSE THEY HELP ARE "FUTURE GUIDES". THIS PROACTIVE AND PREVENTIVE PROGRAM PREVENTS VETERAN ISOLATION AND OPENS OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY FOR SOCIAL AND PROFESSIONAL NETWORKING. GALLANTFEW'S FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IS THE LEAD CASE MANAGER, PERSONALLY INTERFACTING AND ASSISTING MANY VETERANS. THIS HELPS KEEP OUR OVERHEAD EXPENSE PERCENTAGES LOW. |

Veterans are interviewed and those who have been successful in business are featured. |
