IRS990/Desc0CABLE TODAY AND TOMORROW/ THE CABLE HISTORY: CABLE TODAY AND TOMORROW FOCUSES ON TELLING THE STORY OF THE CURRENT AND FUTURE CABLE INDUSTRY. IN 2015, THE PRIMARY ACTIVITIES OF THIS INITIATIVE WERE THE CREATION OF NEW CONTENT, THE COMPLETION OF THE ONLINE SOCIAL IMPACTS EXHIBIT AND THE PRODUCTION OF NEW VIDEO CONTENT. THE SOCIAL IMPACTS EXHIBIT HIGHLIGHTS INDUSTRY MILESTONES AND CALLS UPON THE CENTER'S VAST RESOURCES, SUCH AS ORAL HISTORIES, PHOTOS AND THE EQUIPMENT ARCHIVES TO HELP TELL THIS STORY. THE CENTER LAUNCHED ITS NEW EXPLAIN IT! VIDEO SERIES, COMPLETING 6 IN 2015. ADDITIONAL NEW VIDEO CONTENT IN THE FORM OF INTERVIEWS AND SHORT AND LONG FORM INFORMATIVE SEGMENTS, INCLUDING PERSPECTIVES FROM CONTENT PROVIDERS, OPERATORS AND TECHNOLOGY VENDORS, WAS PRODUCED AND ADDED TO THE WEBSITE. THE CABLE HISTORY PROJECT IS BUILT AROUND THE 350 ORAL AND VIDEO HISTORIES OF CABLE INDUSTRY PEOPLE. IN 2015, WE ADDED 15 NEW ORAL HISTORIES TO THE COLLECTION, AS WELL AS FURTHER DIGITIZATION OF ANOTHER 15% OF THE ORAL HISTORIES THAT HAVE FEATURED WRITTEN TRANSCRIPTS BUT WERE MISSING THE VIDEO PRESENTATION. IN 2015, THE CABLE CENTER COMPLETED THE BRIEF BOOKLET CALLED THE CABLE INDUSTRY: A SHORT HISTORY THROUGH THREE GENERATIONS. IN ADDITION, WE COMPLETED A ROBUST TIMELINE OF THE INDUSTRY AND ADDED IT TO THE WEBSITE.
