“The mission of interlocking communities, inc.(ici) is to address issues arising from poverty and lack of job skills for non-english speaking residents in gwinnett county. The programs offered by ici are educational and target high risk, school age children and their families.”

“Over 30 weeks of english language learner classes, we served between thirty-five and fifty students from a variety of backgrounds and countries. Our teachers say most students dreams are to become us citizens . Since georgia does not have a mandatory kindergarten program, and since gwinnett county public schools data shows that 54% of children are unprepared to enter kindergarten, our ready by five program serves a critical need. Over our 8 week program in 2024, where parent attendance and participation is mandatory, we served an average of 68 families, representing an average of 99 adults and 96 children, ages birth to five.”
