Added policies for: o fiscal year o advisory board o prohibitive donations o gift acceptance and procedure o annual meeting and procedure for amendment to by-laws”

“The form 990 is presented to the finance/audit committee of the board and to the executive director and controller before it is filed with the irs. It is circulated to the board prior to filing. Once accepted at this meeting it is presented to the whole board by the finance/audit committee chairman. Each board member receives a copy.”

“The conflict of interest policy is required to be reviewed by the board of directors and employees annually. The conflict of interest statement is then signed by the board, executive director, and staff. Each board member must complete a conflict of interest questionaire to disclose any conflict of interest or potential conflict of interest. Any conflicted person is required not to be present during the decision making process.”
