THE MFP SERVES ANY RESIDENT OF TARRANT COUNTY ON THE SECOND FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH. BOTH PROVIDE PANTRY STAPLES, MEAT, AND FRESH PRODUCE TO A CROSS- SECTION OF THE POPULATION. THIS INCLUDES FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY, AND THE DISABLED. 516 VOLUNTEERS SUPPORTED THESE PROGRAMS. |

THE REMAINING 6% WERE HEADED BY A NON-PARENT. 94% OF THE FAMILIES WERE UNEMPLOYED WHEN THEY ENTERED THE PROGRAM. BY THE END OF THE YEAR, ALL OF THEM HAD REGAINED EMPLOYMENT AND HOUSING. PARTICIPANTS IN FOP BENEFIT FROM MISSION'S OTHER PROGRAMS: FOOD AND CLOTHING ASSISTANCE; AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING FOR THEIR CHILDREN; AND GED PREPARATION CLASSES. |
